Hapag-Lloyd to digitalise container fleet with IoT sensoring

Hapag-Lloyd will digitalise its container fleet with IoT technology and analytics developed by TradeTech company Nexxiot.

Sensor technology developed by Nexxiot aims to make container transport more resilient and transparent across the supply chain.

The technology will enable worldwide monitoring of shipping containers and analyse the location, movements, and status in real-time.

Hapag-Lloyd will be the first carrier in the world to achieve this.

“This allows us to detect delays earlier, automatically inform the affected customers and initiate countermeasures quickly.”
